Dear Kate Reed and Festival Organizers,
As an Evanston-based photographer, I have been a devoted attendee of your festival since 2018. The event has fostered a wonderful sense of community with my neighbors in Rogers Park, and I deeply value this connection.
I am applying to GAAF to promote my work on a more personal level, engaging face-to-face with people who share my passion and being an active member of the Rodgers Park creative community. My journey began when my first published photograph was selected by Intercraft Industries to showcase and sell their most affordable and profitable picture frame, which was distributed worldwide. Since then, my event photography work has continued to be featured in annual reports and magazines, helping to highlight significant moments and stories. Currently, I am pursuing Personal Projects with the aspiration of succeeding in self-publishing. My goal is to connect with an audience that appreciates my vision and, through GAAF, take the next step in expanding my work and finding new opportunities for growth and collaboration.
I am passionate about my photography and would be honored to have the opportunity to exhibit my work at this cherished annual event. My proposed presentation would feature a curated selection of photographs showcasing diverse themes, including scenes from Chicago and Paris, as well as nature and wildlife. The prints would be available in 8x10 and 4x6 sizes, complemented by a limited number of books and larger fine art prints for display.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
