I am a jewelry designer and metalsmith from Chicago, Illinois. I specialize in hand-fabricated modern designs using sterling silver and gold fill.
I craft each piece individually and enjoy bending and forming metal by hand. I love the little differences and unique variations that come about each time. I enjoy experimenting with resists, oxidization and ombre effects on my silver as well as fire painting and reticulation.
I have worked in metal for about ten years now and continue to find new techniques to explore and learn. Incorporating organic casting and keum-boo into my recent designs has allowed me to explore more natural shapes and textures. Adopting a wabi-sabi mindset in both form and texture has been liberating, especially during the soldering and finishing stages of these pieces.
Metal is a dynamic and challenging medium that continually captivates and inspires me.
